The storm before the storm?

Today was rough, mentally and physically. And tomorrow is the first day of the many earth plaster workshops!! And even though the weather forcast was looking good all week, it has suddenly changed to look like rain tomorrow. Kamisama, please be kind to us! Onegai shimasu!!

There is still a lot of prep work to be done, but we will do our best to stay one step ahead of the mud plastering this weekend. The goal is to get one coat on all the walls over 2 days. We, Maiko & Toby (nor Bomber), have never done this before so we hope we can get it done. If not, we'll adjust and go from there.

We look forward to looking back at all the days like today and laughing and saying things like, "It was all worth it". Until then, we are just tired. Building a house, no matter how much actual physical time and/or effort you put into it, is very.....challenging. Again, we knew that coming into this...but you are never really/truly prepared for it unless you've experienced before. And, of course, the great people we have helping us is the only reason we haven't gone totally mad. Thank you everyone for.....everything!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
