Another Amazing Weekend!!

It was another great weekend for plastering the interior walls of Square One. Maiko and I prepared about 12 big mixes of mud plaster on Friday night and kept the mixers going through Monday morning. We went through about 3 tons of sand and 2 tons of clay so we've added 5 tons of thermal mass to our super insulated and Eco friendly hybrid home.

To date, we've done two coats of plaster on the outside and 2 coats of plaster on the inside. We will apply one more coat to the interior and do a glue sealant coat on both the exterior and interior before the walls are officially "done". We are now turning our focus a little bit away from the walls and getting a timeline/schedule for everything else that needs to be completed before the house is livable. Things like stairs, doors, toilets, final plumbing, final electricity, lights installed, flooring installed, final touches on the exterior windows, etc.....

The light at the end of the tunnel is getting larger. As tired and sore as we are today after lifting/mixing/moving 5 tons of dirt over the last 3 days, we have received an extra boost of energy with some fabulous looking walls.
