Quite sensible, if you ask me!
Is Bomber declawed, or are you going to have shredded sofa in a few years?
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, you don't declaw cats!! It's soooooo wrong/inhumane! Instead, provide things/places for them to get their "cat scratch fever" going and also trim their nails every once in awhile (we trim Bomber's nails every 2~3 weeks and he is totally good with that).
.....and we have a scratch post. We give him praise and treats every time he uses it!!
So, I am assuming that Bomber still has his balls too! Any new kittens running around the neighborhood?
No. When we adopted Bomber, he was already "fixed". And Bomber is an inside cat so no chance of little furry guys running around the 'hood. If he did get outside, he'd be able to defend himself against foxes, and other wukd critters, with his claws, tho....
That's a good point. Some sunny day in the very near future, when the veranda doors are open and Bomber gets a whiff of the Great Wide Open, he is gonna be out the door and looking around. A cat with no claws is defenseless, unless he can run really fast. My guess is that Bomber, like me, cannot run fast anymore.
He'll be out on the deck with us for sure once the weather allows us to be out there. I'm not betting on him jumping the 4 meters to the ground after a similar jump in West Seattle left him with a strained ligament in his leg. However, if the time comes where he has to get in a race with Norman "Slowman" Delaney, my beer money is on Bomber for sure!! :)
