Life is Good

Now that the walls are finished, we are breathing easier. Summer has also arrived so Toby is cycling more, Maiko is doing more yoga and we are spending a lot of time out on the big deck of Square One. As the air gets warmer, we open the windows at night to let the cool air in. The first floor is staying cool througout the day, but the 2nd floor still gets a little warm because of the big windows. It is not unbearable, though, and as soon as we get a breeze going from one side of the house to another, it is actually quite nice. The loft is a bit warm at night, though, so we are going to add a small fan up there for guests when they come visit. It doesn't get much hotter here in Hokkaido so this is about the worst it will get....which isn't that bad at all. Opening up the big doors to the big deck and having people over is.....amazing!! Having dinner out there after a long day at work is also wonderful. In short, life is good.

Above is a picture of a Vanilla Soy Latte that Toby made for Maiko this morning.
Below is a picture of Bomber hanging out on the stairs. He gives Maiko & Toby a love pat with those big paws when they walk by....

Hooray! I'm really happy for you all! And I've got to say that soy latte looks amazing. (Bomber looks good, too.)
