This is the grassroots coalition that Toby has been working with over the last 4 days. For now, he's helping with organizing and leading via the computer and telephone. However, he has received 16 days of "volunteer leave" and may jump on a ferry to get closer to where help is needed. Thank you Ben Logsdon for creating the logo. If you know anyone that is interested in donating to help animals affected by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear scare, please CLICK HERE to go to our Chip In link. At that page, you can donate, but it will take you to a Paypal page in Japanese. If you'd prefer it to be in English, scroll on the blue link in the upper right corner. You can also follow our progress via our Facebook page, "Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue & Support". Thank you.
By the way, we are focusing our efforts on two types of animals. 1) The hundreds of pets that are being left behind by foriegners fleeing the country because of the nuclear threat or because the embassies are asking them to. 2) The thousands of animals that are left abandoned in the disaster zone. Both are going to be taking up a big chunk of our time and energy. However, we have received massive amounts of offers for help and some well known international agencies are on their way in to help.
