Yesterday, we had a massive blizzard (fubuki) blow through Hokkaido and it left a lot of wondeful powder snow in the mountains. Many didn't dare go out in the weather yesterday, but Ogawa-san (above), Okamoto-san (below middle) and Toby (below left) didn't hesitate for they knew the reward was worth the work and any uncomfortable feeling from the cold or wind. These three powder skiers hit the jackpot on that one for sure! After climbing for two hours through snow above their knees, they skied their first of four runs in the super deep and light powder. After the last run, they finished the day around 3pm and posed for the below picture. Toby never crashed so it's quite obvious the snow was deep. Good times.
